Mike's Driving School is proud to offer the 3 Hour Drug and Alcohol Class (ADEP) also known as the Safe & Sober Program.
The cost of this class is $50. Payments are in cash only on the same day the class is held.
This three-hour class is required by the MVA for drivers who are relocating from another country and want to apply for a Maryland driver's license. The program is approved by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Alcohol and Drug Administration and MVA.
The class instructs participants in US driving laws and safe driving behaviors. Course participants will also be made aware of the causes and consequences of impaired driving. The instructor will review Maryland laws regarding impaired driving, especially those related to Driving While Impaired (DWI) and Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
The requirements for this class:
You must hold a valid license for another country
You must at least 18 years old
You must live in Maryland
Student must bring the fooling to class:
A document (In English) that proves their age and identity
Documentation of a valid Social Security Number
Your out of country license
$50 cash payment for the course
After your successful completion of the couse you will be awarded a Drug and Alcohol Certificate and you will be permitted to take the law test at MVA.
The certificate is valid for one year
You have a choice If you currently hold a license from another country you have the option to participate in the 3 Hour Drug & Alcohol class or to be treated as a new resident in Maryland and take the entire driver education course.
